Bruins 2011 Preseason Schedule All Set, Who Wants To Find Marchmond?
We are officially in the dog days of summer but believe it or not, that means the NHL preseason isn't too far off. The especially short offseason for the Vancouver Canucks and Boston Bruins is one of the main reasons that it's so hard to repeat as champions in the NHL.
Their seasons ended in mid-June in the Stanley Cup finals and the B's start training camp on Sept. 16 at Ristuccia Arena in Wilmington. Let's hope that Brad Marchand, Tyler Seguin and Co. have started to lay off the sauce. Haha the good news is that most of the Bruins have probably retreated to their native homeland (Canada) where there is absolutely nothing to do in the summer other than wait for the 10-month winter and hockey to begin.
Boston has six preseason games, starting Sept. 21 against Ottawa at Scotiabank Place. Next, they'll host the New York Islanders at TD Garden on Sept. 23. The Bruins meet the Canadiens Sept. 25 in Halifax, Nova Scotia and then at the Bell Centre on Sept. 26. Ottawa comes to the TD Garden on Sept. 29 and the meaningless preseason fittingly wraps up in one of New England's biggest shitholes: Oct. 1 in Bridgeport, CT.
